Privacy notice
What we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have when you contact Nickora.
Last updated:
1. Who is responsible for your information?
Nick Ameta, trading as Nickora is a sole proprietorship based in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. Nick is responsible for the personal information Nickora uses to handle enquiries and provide its services. This notice covers our website and enquiries or service communications by WhatsApp and email.
For a privacy question or request, contact info@nickora.com. Please use “Privacy request” in your subject or message so we can identify it promptly.
2. What we collect
- Your name, contact details, the service you ask about and the contents of your enquiry.
- Your WhatsApp number and any profile information made available to us when you contact us there.
- If you become a client, the agreed scope, relevant academic materials you choose to share, correspondence and payment or invoice records. The website does not collect card details.
- Technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, which hosting services may record, such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and access time.
Please don’t put passwords, payment-card details, health information, passport copies or identifiable research-participant information in an initial message. Anonymise research material and agree a suitable transfer method before sharing a draft.
3. How the contact buttons and form work
“Talk with Nick” opens WhatsApp with a suggested message. The contact form prepares a message using the details you enter; it does not submit your draft to a Nickora server or save it to browser storage. When you continue to WhatsApp, the text is passed to WhatsApp in the link. You review it and press Send yourself. Closing or leaving the page can discard an unsent draft.
WhatsApp may process link and account information when it opens, even before you send a message. WhatsApp and your email provider operate under their own privacy terms. You can use info@nickora.com instead of WhatsApp.
4. Why we use it
We use information to answer your enquiry, arrange a conversation, quote for and deliver agreed support, manage payments, respond to complaints or privacy requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your information or use it for automated admission, academic or eligibility decisions.
Where UK data-protection law applies, the relevant bases are taking steps you request before a contract and fulfilling that contract; our legitimate interests in responding to general enquiries, protecting communications and resolving disputes, balanced against your rights; and compliance with legal obligations. If an activity requires consent, we ask separately and you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use.
An enquiry is not permission to add you to a marketing list. Any future optional marketing will have a separate choice and a way to stop it.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become paid work: we review and delete or anonymise them within six months after the last substantive contact, unless needed for a dispute or legal obligation.
- Working academic drafts: normally deleted from our active working records within 90 days after the agreed work ends, unless you ask for and agree a longer support period or a specific legal/dispute need requires retention.
- Contracts, essential correspondence and financial records: retained for applicable tax, accounting and legal-claims requirements. We limit these records rather than retaining whole research drafts simply to support an invoice.
Retention is handled through business record reviews, not an automatic website deletion feature. Copies held by you or independently by a communication provider are subject to that party’s controls. Where a dispute requires longer retention, we limit access and delete the information when that reason ends.
8. Your choices, rights and complaints
Depending on the law that applies, you may ask to access or correct your information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, receive portable data, or withdraw consent. These rights have conditions and exceptions. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity; do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed.
We acknowledge enquiries within 24 hours. That is not a promise to finish every legal request in a day: where UK rules apply, rights requests are normally answered within one month, subject to permitted extensions. We will explain any applicable deadline, exception or extension.
You may complain to us at info@nickora.com. If UK data-protection law applies, you can also contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (opens a new tab). Rights and grievance routes under Indian law apply in accordance with the provisions in force at the time of your request. Contacting us does not prevent you from using a competent regulator or other lawful remedy.
9. Younger students and changes
If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to make the initial enquiry and agree any engagement. Please do not send a child’s documents through the initial form.
We update this notice when the service or our handling changes and show the new date above. We will give an appropriate notice before using existing information for a materially different purpose.
